General Chemistry 9e

our primary goal was to further strengthen the conceptual focus of the text. To that end we have added three new types of end-of-chapter problems, Concept Explorations, Strategy Problems, and Self- Assessment Questions. While we have included them in the end-of-chapter material, Concept Explorations are unlike any of the other end-of-chapter problems. These multipart, multistep problems are structured activities developed to help students explore important chemical concepts—the key ideas in general chemistry—and confront common misconceptions or gaps in learning.
